Allatoona January 2010 Fishing Report

Level: 8.1 ft below full pool;    Temp: 47-52 degrees;    Clarity: Stained.

Bass: Good.

Linesides: Good.

Lake Lanier January 2010

Level: Lake is 0.5 above full pool;    Temp: High 40s to low 50s;    Clarity: Clear on the main lake, stained in the backs of the creeks.

Largemouths: Fair. Bite is slow. Not a lot of numbers, but big fish are being caught. For bait, stay with the crankbait or the jig. For depth stay in the 5 - 15 ft. range.

Spotted Bass: Good. Fish the backs of creeks around shallow structures. Stay in the 5 to 15 ft. range for depth. Good fish are also being caught in the deep with brown jigs and finesse worms at around 40 to 55 ft. on the old timber edges.

Stripers: Good.

Lake Jackson April 2010

Level: 5.0 feet below full pool;   Temp: mid to high 50's;   Clarity: clear to slightly stained

Bass: Decent but slow. Went out for a bit at the end of March and caught some nice fish 2-3 at a time in different spots, when we found them they were hitting pretty good on a 6" green pumpkin lizard, did not have much luck with crank bait.

Crappie: The crappie are on, big numbers are being caught right now.

Lake Sinclair January 2010

Level: 0.7 ft. above full pool;  Temp: 51-53 degrees;  Stained.

Bass: Fishing for bass is fair. Jigs, crankbaits and finesse worms.  Depth 12-14 ft. of water.

Crappie: Good. Fishing has been really good in Beaverdam Creek around the hot water discharge. Rooty Creek and Nancy Branch have also been good. Trolling jigs in 12 - 15 ft. of water is working well. Best colors are red/black/yellow and pink/white/pink.

Lake Oconee December 2010 Fishing Report

Level: full pool;   Temp: 54-60 degrees;    Clarity: light stain.

Bass: Slow. Fish are being caught in the mouths of rivers and coves, just look for shad activity. OL Nelle spinner baits are really good right now. The fish will be moving to deeper water near the end of the month 20 - 25 ft. A carolina rigged finesse worm will be a good way to go.

Crappie:  Good. Lot of fish are being caught on jigs and minnows. One good way to find them is to look for schools on your fish finder, drop down and hold on tight. Happy Fishing!!!
